Paradyme Inc. is seeking software professionals to lead efforts supporting a federal enforcement agency to tackle multimedia exploitation to protect the most vulnerable  amongst us against online scams, trafficking, terrorism, and other cyber-crimes.

 

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Software Engineer with 10 years of experience applying software development tradecraft in the multimedia exploitation career field.  The person in this role will lead Multmedia Toolkit development.

 

Active Top Secret clearance is required to be considered.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Software Engineer with 10 years of experience applying software development tradecraft in the multimedia exploitation career field.  The Engineer expertise should be centered around, but not limited to:

  • Database and Storage Systems with NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB for large-scale document storage and object storage systems using Azure, AWS, Ceph
  • Data technologies like Apache Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch, Solr
  • Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and containerization such as Docker, Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration
  • Backend and Cloud Server environment and Data Center Infrastructure and compliance

The Engineer will sustain the deployed Government-Off-The-Shelf applications, related processes and over time make improvements by following the approved iterations and demonstrating changes that will optimize the operational users to analyze at a greater speed. The ideal candidate will be able to discuss strengths related to managing related to managing a highly skilled team in a high paced environment, bringing stakeholders that have unique perspectives into a comprehensive technology roadmap, which will help their team to steer by to meet operational customer demands. The Engineer with practical implementation experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning will aid in their accomplishment of their technical mission to improve the deployed application and process to a new, improved operational state.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform system engineering and develop a multimedia review tool using SAFe methodology to integrate bug fixes, security enhancements and new capabilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert for all portions of the multimedia review tool code base and lead a team of developers to implement new features and resolve software issues
  • Deliver multimedia review tool builds using Agile Framework (SAFe) processes to deliver incremental builds based upon agreed upon government requirements
  • Develop and enhance multimedia review tool to visually display, correlate and report multimedia data based upon metadata and analytic results
  • Integrate ingestion workflow with other upstream and down steam systems to seamlessly transition and communicate data and processing results between systems that may be geographically separated with limited bandwidth
  • Integrate the government’s analytics to enable users to quickly and intuitively view images
  • Perform system engineering and system administration to deploy the multimedia review tool to all government designated development and operational environments
  • Perform system engineering and system administration to maintain multimedia review tool deployments within various infrastructures, including ensuring the tool remains consistent with all policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Provide level of effort and timing decisions during planning sessions

Technical Experience or Knowledge

  • Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in software engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with multimedia exploitation processing, analysis, and data management including direct and recent experience building a petabyte-scale multimedia analysis platform
  • Demonstrated experience managing petabyte-scale, complex technology programs, preferably within the government or law enforcement sectors
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining applications that handle petabyte-scale data and high-throughput processing
  • Demonstrated experience in the Java programming language as well as front-end technologies JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Vue
  • Demonstrated experience with user interface and user experience design, ensuring that tools are accessible and efficient for end users
  • Demonstrated experience of the operational environment in Digital Forensics, Data Recovery, Forensic Tools, Mobile Digital Forensics, Legal Process, Video Capture, Case Management Techniques and analysis
  • Demonstrated experience of database and storage systems with NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB for large-scale document storage and object storage system using Azure, AWS, Ceph
  • Demonstrated experience of data technologies like Apache Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch, Solr
  • Demonstrated experience of cloud-native technologies and containerization such as Docker, Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration
  • Demonstrated experience of backend and Cloud server environment and Data Center Infrastructure and compliance

Education/Certifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant certifications to include at least of the following:
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP
    • Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
    • Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
    • Unity Certified Programmer
    • Microsoft Azure Developer Associate
  • Knowledge of DoD 8570/8140 compliance and its implementation
  • Expertise in technical architecture in a government contracting environment engineering GOTS and COTS tools within a secure environment
  • Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidelines, including compliance with Executive Order 14028 and other relevant regulations
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage cross-functional projects involving software development, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a technical team, including setting goals, assigning tasks, and driving projects to completion
  • Agile Certifications, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SAFe/agile methodologies software development life cycles, and modern project management tools and techniques like Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
