Responsibilities

Paradyme, a CATHEXIS Company is hiring a Jr. Tools Administrator.  The candidate will demonstrate motivated and detail-oriented support our DevSecOps and development operations teams as an Entry-Level Tools Administrator. This role will provide hands-on administration and support for a range of development tools and platforms, including Jira, GitHub, Nexus, and Jenkins, while also contributing to cloud infrastructure development, CI/CD automation, and information security practices in a government contracting environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support day-to-day operations of development tools.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Terraform.
  • Build and configure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to support secure, automated deployments.
  • Work with development and security teams to ensure tools and pipelines meet federal security and compliance standards.
  • Monitor tool performance, troubleshoot issues, and support upgrades and integrations.
  • Support broader DevSecOps efforts and continuously learn new tools and techniques to improve platform efficiency and security.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering.
  • Basic understanding of source control, CI/CD concepts, and modern software development lifecycles.
  • Experience with Bash, Python or other scripting strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

 

Physical Requirements: These are the essential physical requirements needed to successfully perform the job.

  • Sedentary work.
    • Requires sitting up to 8 hours per day.
    • May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted.
    • Fine repetitive motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with eyes.
  • Hearing, speaking, and vision: Adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person, via video, and telephone. Includes reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Other: Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
